Waterline Alerts

Real-time lake monitoring and smart alerts for the Texas Highland Lakes — and any lake in the US with a USGS gauge. Built for marina operators, property owners, and anyone who needs to know what the water is doing before it becomes a problem.

Data refreshes every 5 minutes from LCRA Hydromet and USGS. Alerts are delivered within minutes of a threshold crossing via email, SMS, WhatsApp, push notification, or phone call — whichever channels you prefer.

Real-Time Lake Levels

Live elevation readings updated every 5 minutes from LCRA Hydromet and USGS gauges. Covers all 7 Highland Lakes — Buchanan, Inks, LBJ, Marble Falls, Travis, Austin, and Georgetown — plus any US lake with a USGS gauge.

Smart Alert Triggers

Set alerts for any condition that matters to your operation: absolute elevation thresholds, rate of change (rising/falling too fast), percent of conservation capacity, outflow in CFS, or a daily morning briefing. Each trigger fires once per event with a 6-hour cooldown to prevent repeat alerts.

Multi-Channel Notifications

Receive alerts how you want them. Choose any combination of email, SMS text, WhatsApp message, phone call, and mobile push notification — configurable per trigger. Set quiet hours to silence calls overnight without missing email or push alerts.

Historical Charts & Trends

Interactive elevation charts with 7-day, 30-day, 5-year, and all-time views. Overlays show the same-week reading from last year and the 10-year median so you can instantly see how current levels compare to historical norms.

Flow & Precipitation

Inflow and outflow readings from USGS and LCRA river gauges, updated every 15 minutes. Basin rainfall totals for 24-hour and 7-day windows from nearby NWS gauges. Flood stage thresholds shown on the flow panel.

Combined Storage & Drought Stage

A real-time combined storage banner tracks Travis and Buchanan together against LCRA's Water Management Plan drought stages — Watch, Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3 — so you always know where the system stands.

Mobile-First PWA

Install Waterline Alerts to your iPhone or Android home screen for a native app experience. Bottom tab navigation, safe area support, and push notifications work exactly like a native app — no App Store required.

Weekly Digest

Every Sunday morning a digest email summarizes the past week's high and low levels, net change, and rainfall for all your lakes — a convenient overview without having to open the app.
